There are a lot of people around.
Naturally, I keep them mostly off-stage. They get to be scenery most of the time -- more dramatic when they are ghosts, but still scenery.
How many of them actually get to act in the story? It's a novel, it can be a lot longer because there are threads. Some could help and some could hinder. . .
And then there's the one who dresses up as a plague doctor, significant for -- reasons. Is that one actually an independent actor forming a new faction, or just the useful support for that villainess there?
(I wonder when I will have to decide whether one character becomes queen at the end.)
