telling the tale
The hero and his sister arrive at the witch's doorstep.
A cat assures them they can wait.
So they, without warning to me, start to tell each other stories. Which means I need stories that are thematically related, NOT one of the fairy tales being retold in the story -- I think that the sister will start to tell a tale about a witch, glance at the door, and change it -- and then when the witch arrives, she has to weave into it --
She's going to, I think, demand a tale that doesn't end, and our hero's going to go into a nested tale of people asking someone to tell them a story. Going to amuse and annoy her -- being a wicked witch, she doesn't have to be just.
