How to make a magical knight. . .

Was thinking that in one culture, they do not make particular knights. The knighting process will automatically give you the power-set most suited to your character.  Contrasting to most cultures where they set what they want and it works on most people.  Except that some characters will so lacking in particular interests or talents that they probably have to give you a default. . . .

And, of course, they tend to pick the people they think will be the knights they need.

And concluded that spontaneous knights, if knighted, will seem to have acquired their powers from the wizard. If they don't match the intention, obviously you had a strong-willed person who overrode the spell.

And I still need a good name for the spontaneous knights once it becomes clearly obvious to them that they can't all be hedge knights, or secretly knighted by evil wizards, or deserters from a good wizard or his king.
