Jeeves in the Morning

Jeeves in the Morning by P.G. Wodehouse

Another Jeeves novel.

Bertie hears his old friend Stilton is engaged to Florence -- the girl whose engagement to Bertie was the subject of the first Jeeves story. He rather wishes him good luck escaping it.

He is recruited to help his uncle by marriage, who needs a secret meeting for financial dealings, by taking a country cottage. Where, as it happens, Jeeves can fish, and Bertie can attend a fancy-dress ball.

He arrives in the country to find his cousin Nobby desperate to get his uncle's assent to her marriage, and that his aunt's stepson is doing his good deeds for the day without regard for the suffering he inflicts.

It involves Stilton's new job, a question of Hollywood, some accidental arson, Florence's belief that she influenced Bertie, and more.
