I enjoyed that, especially the bit at the end: "...a further dialogue between genres is possible, especially if we concede that literary fiction may be legitimately regarded as one as well."

I'm prepared to concede it. I suspect the literary types might have more difficult: on top of their using "genre" as pejorative, looking at literary as a genre might reveal how narrow and jejune their conventions are.
