I must confess that, as a socially tune deaf person, I became a bookworm in big part because fiction told me things I could then learn to pick up IRL.

A socially tune deaf person CAN learn to fit in, but I have to be told first the things that would make no sense to me when shown.

Not to mention that having different background than fictional heroes, how can I figure out what does scene in front of me mean when it is just shown to me without being helpfully told what is actually happening?
