A lot of the stuff stemmed from the Commies. Free love and easy divorce were in fact pushed, big, in the opening days of the Revolution until it dawned on them that was foolish. So they were back pushing bourgeois families and arguing that it was not counterrevolutionary because the families of bourgeois were counterrevolutionary but the families of revolutionaries were revolutionary.
