"They probably have to do it all the time," said Victor. "Someone gets lost in the forest, and they have to search. And then there's a murder of crows flying about, and everyone knows where the body lies. At least as a herb, you don't have to find the murderer."
She wondered how hot it was, whether it would burn up bones. Then she grimaced. Hadn't the waste been enough to show her how much destruction this magic could work? And if it did not burn up bones, it did not matter. Much better to know how big they were.
