So here Elaine was in a car headed to Eureka, where a California ANG plane was waiting to take her to Sacramento.
Yet Elaine felt somewhat apprehensive, even as she enjoyed seeing the miles go by. How hard would it be to go back up there after this brief taste of freedom?
