time in its flight
sigh. I'm going to have to reel this story in. I moved too fast.
The fun part is that it was mostly the flowers. I can curb the weeks of frustration as they are kept so very safe that they have nothing to do but improvise their own lessons out of a library not designed for instruction in the fields they want and need. A few weeks of it would be frustration enough to explain many things.
But it's going to take some rework. I suspect I will have to add something about their impatience about the lack of a tutor, in the opinion of the adults at the spot. They have, after all, been completely surprised by the need for a tutor in subjects they don't teach, and one who would not be interested in coming to this location for its magical properties.
I suspect there's going to be some philosophical disputes about the study of magic, and the common and uncommon types of it.
