In Another World I Must Bury the Night Bone by Miles English
Book 3 of the series. Spoilers ahead for the first ones.
Indeed the title quest (which Daniel picked up in the last book) actually takes some time. They are first off dealing with the necromancers' homunculi, who insist that they can't be slaves because only humans are slaves, and the problems with forcing someone to be free, and then with their desire for classes and need for money despite the gold of the previous adventures.
They discuss what they know and what can attempt, and people go off in differing directions. It involves a pop singer in danger from Sorcerers, and a twist in the deal; Bigfoot; homunculi who decide that they know what they want to do; Quests, which Nigel can give out; a legend of evil; and more.
Does not have a mention of a fourth book, though there are definite hooks. OTOH, a number of things are rounded out here.
