marycatelliThere's a thread in this story, that might not belong. A mercenary man, who's a magical knight, and a little girl he rescued.
But the only plot element I've been juggling with both of them AND the main characters occurs in the denouement. . . .
OTOH, come to think of it, perhaps I just introduced him too soon. Or, at any rate, had him rescue the little girl too soon. There is a place where he could be introduced along with other characters -- there has to be a group, and they are a bit vague. He would fit. Then he could rescue the girl as the fight heats up.
Possibly I should cut the earlier scenes with him. . . .
