patron saint

Some fantasy patron saints are already given. St. Cyprian against witchcraft. St. Anastasia Pharmakolytria against evil potions.
Some are easy. St. Gregory, patron saint of gravediggers, against necromancy. St. Michael the Archangel for superheroes, as for non-powered police.
Sometimes you have to consider. A patron saint for the superpowered -- not those who use their power for a particular purpose, just the superpowered -- might be a wonder-worker such as St. Martin de Porres.
Sometimes you just have to invent a saint. St. Martin, for instance, lived in the Americas. He might not fit into a medieval-ish world. If no other wonder-worker seems suitable, perhaps a saint can be devised.
I think this world I am working in has two wizard patron saints for wizards -- besides the Magi, of course. Both of whom were wizards. At least one of whom I am naming after another blogger's discussion of a name not having a saint.
