Because I have not been reading graphic novels exclusively. . . here's some eyewitness history.

An account of life in the late 60s at Berkeley.  Includes both an overview of what was going on, and many personal accounts of the life of a graduate student who saw a lot of the student activism, and riots.  Also interspaced with other details about life in academia.  Interesting.
