Sometimes you get a title early, sometimes you get a title very late indeed. . . .
It's real annoying when you get the idea from the title first of all, and then realize that it doesn't match the story as completed.
And when you are fiddling with covers and know you can't finish it until you have the title, if only to figure out how large the neutral space has to be.
And sometimes it's just annoying that you are plugging along on a story -- half way through the first draft, or deep in the third draft, or trying to finish it up or something -- and are still calling it by the name of the main character.
sigh
