marycatelli Looked back at a work in progress. Realized I had stopped putting in chapters about a tenth of the way in. . . .
Poked at it some more. Possible chapter breaks were few and reluctant. . . .
And while I've never done a book without chapters before, I've never had one so hard to put into them. And I am working on a great thumping novel -- twice the size of this one -- in only five or so chapters. . . .
Chapters. Like scene and paragraph breaks. They can be tricky.
