Reginald stepped out blinking in the sun. He walked automatically down to where his daughter Alice held his horse. How could he atone for last night? He never meant harm by the jests, but the count ...
Something seemed amiss. There were ribbons on the reins. That was Alice for you. But something else--he finally saw it, and cried "What did you do?"
"It's called 'docking'," Alice answered.
