Both of which have been on the back burner for a long time. One of which because there was a long period of time that I had to pass over briskly, while indicating a few things happened to make him distrustful. And one because I needed a scene between two young princesses, cousins, where one is a spoiled brat and intentionally cruel, and the other gets all the grief -- which needs some handling because her own parents aren't that bad but are at least partly taken in.
Maybe I should take another stab at them.
