marycatelliFirst I introduce the prince's godmother so the heroine has a place to stay that's all proper by courtly rules.
Then I ponder whether she's married. Probably they would choose a married woman for a prince's godmother. With a very prominent husband.
He could be dead. They could have had no children. But. . . hmmm. . . .I gotta think about this one.
Perhaps off stage.
And if they don't amount to anything, not even the plot device she is (thus far), I can revise them out later. . . .
