marycatelliWas hacking away at a story that had been on the backburner for a while. Had some bright ideas for fixes. . . .
In the sections where I had not anticipated changes, there are changes. Many massive cuts of even thousands of words, and the insertion of thousands more.
Feeling stuck on one section, I started a new story where the outline had leapt off the backburner. Got two pages in.
Went back and revised those page up to five before I went on because I had really messed up the opening scene with too much infodump and not enough present day. sigh.
