Which may bear a fair amount of resemblance to what the beginning was when I first wrote it.

Then again, it may have been substantially revised mentally without my putting it in the draft or outline. I may have left out vital supports of the plot, or put in a lot of waste motion, which may or may not be where the supports belong....

It can be quite a surprise on the next pass. sigh
