And celebrate the Savior’s birth;
With grateful hearts salute the morn,
On which the Savior, Christ was born.
The shining hosts, on wings of love,
Flew swiftly from the courts above;
With acclamation from the skies,
And seized the shepherds with surprise.
The heavenly choir around did sing:
This day is born the Savior-King.
They swell their notes to praise ag
