The rite to summon the Iron King was carried out. And you might say it failed, since Talmania seized the power from him and is now the Iron Queen. Fortunately, Caina and her crew deduce the exact nature of the problem very quickly.
This involves splitting of forces, warning the Emperor, using buildings as a means of movement, delegating, parleys, and more. Very satisfying ending to this series.
