"I thought I would find you here," said Nigel from the doorway.
Isabelle tore her thoughts from her prayers, wished she could order him off, and turned to keep peace.
"This isn't a game," he said.
She forced her breath in and out. While she wore black, he said that.

And if she had not learned what that mysterious chapel was, she had kept anyone else from noticing it.
Her mouth set. It would be no laughing matter if anyone received a sword from such a place, but for her? Maximiana would have her executed in a trice as useless.

"We came here to play Sally Go Round the Sun," said Briony.
"How do you play that?" said Rosaleen.
"We all join hands in a circle," said Briony, and they did. "Then we go about in a circle while we sing."
"And we go faster all the time!" said Polly.

Prince Carolus looked back.
"This isn't a game," said Hesperia. "Many desire our skills, and can pay. If necessary, in another land."
He raised an eyebrow. Marian and Edwin walked from the shadows. Rosine's tongue touched her lip. Another paladin, and a priest, whom she had worked with, without giants.

Billy worked up the courage to stammer: “We weren’t trying to summon you! We were just playing a game, reading from an old book.”

“I do not know these words. If you have a task, bring the offering and tell me. If you do not, release me.”

“The book didn’t say how.”

Spruance Del Curtin walked into the module lounge, flashing that maddening Shepard grin. "Who's up for some Space Race?"

Rand's eyes brightened. "I'm game."

Tara looked from him to Sprue. "Are you sure it's wise to play against a Shep?"
