slogans for justice
Aug. 13th, 2022 11:27 pmThere's two heroes for justice.
One is of the opinion fiat justitia ruat caelum -- let justice be done though the heavens fall. As in, in this case, vigilante deaths when the evil wizards are taken in by governments to use. He's very careful that the wizard really is as evil as he thinks, first.
The opposing opinion is not the plea for mercy but the observation that falling heavens are unjust to those they fall on. That's he's setting a bad example that will encourage unjust killings, that he's extremely casual about the danger to bystanders, and he does not know that those who are involved know that the wizard is as evil as he thinks.
Haven't got a pithy slogan for him, though.

Or "Don't consume the innocent in a haste to punish the guilty"
Or "Wait until harvest time" (wheat and tares)
