Back home in Maine, I spent summers running a Ditch Witch for my dad's trenching company, when I wasn't supervising one of his crews at a second site. Having to do it in a spacesuit will be harder, but I should be able to manage it."

She started, as if she realized her voice carried, and blushed.
She was right, thought Liam gloomily. His father could divide the kingdom in two, the half that had come with his bride, an only princess, and the half that was his own, and divide it among the other two if only one would marry a princess, heiress to a kingdom. No one could object if each of them had a kingdom.
