powerful powers

marycatelliWas contemplating powers. You can't make your superheroes too powerful. That requires making your supervillains too powerful and then making it ludicrous that they don't destroy the world when they fight.
Of course, there could easily just be a simple limit to powers: flesh and blood can only take so much.
One could also have a variation on that, where if someone has enough power, they stop thinking like a human. Perhaps their bodies could transform as part of it. It's one thing to sling fire, or even to have an outward form of fire, but if you actually turn into flame, you start to become a spirit of fire, far beyond the concerns of mortals. Too much greenery turns you into an plant being.
Which isn't turning into a plot bunny for me, to be sure.
