fairy tales and the muse

The heroine was remembering the warning about how not everyone who faced a fairytale peril conquered, or even survived. I was going to have her remember the princes who died trying to reach Sleeping Beauty. . . .
Except that I am ripping off a slightly different version of Sleeping Beauty in that tale, so it's not accurate history for her. (The muse would insist on a different one.)
Whereupon she decided to remember Baba Yaga's hut with all the posts but one having a skull. Her governess had warned her she could not reason they had been such fools that she could assume she could manage.
