So the heroine is hanging out in the mountains, and there's a discussion about getting in and out (there aren't that many routes, and only one good one), and I mention a wizard. . . .

Back track and remove. There is magic in the world, because of the kitten. And I'll be putting in some herbal stuff and the like. But it's a low-magic world. (Enough that I can justify omitting unpleasantness, though. 0:)
