Date: 2024-09-02 12:01 am (UTC)A shout of laughter came from the woods. "That's the clever lass who scared off half the duke's men?"
"Send for a courtier," said a man in a deeper voice. "You, Robin. And run. There can be clever treachery. And lasses who wear the princess's dress."
"With treachery or without," said another man.
"There are enough of the duke's men to fight still," said Master Gregor, coming up. "Imprudent to mingle our forces, but less so to not fight them."
"They're fleeing now."

Date: 2024-09-02 04:02 am (UTC)Katie shouted. "Who's got a Brainy Smurf card?"
That initiated a flurry of looking among her cousins, until Cather's boy Jase suddenly held up one. "Right here."
All of them read the card and worked out how to play it. Puzzled, I asked Toni Hargreaves what it was all about, since she was a game developer before she went to work for JPL.
"It's one of those new cooperative games, where all the players have to work together as a team to defeat a problem or menace. In this one, the kids all have to work together to help the Smurfs defeat the wicked Gargamel's latest nasty plan."
