It is clear that Sabrian is trying to figure out a way to indicate to Abigail that he would like for them to be closer, and failing. Abigail is still panicked at the thought of pressuring him. And Blanche is worried that this may cause problems.
More revelations occur, and also there is a mysterious epidemic, and trouble with the mermaids, or perhaps with nobles who cause trouble with the mermaids.
