For a moment, Honor looked at the stones in the grass.
Then she told herself that unnerving Marcella could only help her learn more about her evil plots.
With great care, she stepped forward, dropped to one knee, and took up the necklace. She looked about and pulled it on.

The kids were down at the river again, skipping stones -- and they were trying to teach their new friends, much to the Chongu kittens' disappointment. Turns out skipping stones is a lot harder than it looks, and relies on the way human shoulders and arms are specialized for highly accurate throwing.

Should've known when the first multi-species sandlot baseball game turned into a big flop. Nobody can pitch -- or throw to base -- like a human.
