Tez and Ailette must face the final boss of the dungeon, whose claim of death being rest does not impress Tez.
But then it does on with the church. (I must say, the metaphysics, theology, and religion of this world do not impress me. If one order of knights wishes to spread the Gospel -- what is the Good News, or at least doctrines, they want to spread? If one persecutes non-believers, what do they fail to believe?)
It involves factions, a trial with witnesses, a revelation by Aliette, a bargain intended to buy years, a fairy tale involving a mirror, Aliette's fever and Tez's being upset over it, a fire burned at a festival, and more.
