decisions, decisions
Oct. 9th, 2011 10:05 pmI will not NaNoWriMo this year.
Got a couple of outlines cheerfully chasing their own tails in the early chapter. Got a couple of other ones, closer to done that may lead to novellas (on account of my muse hating me and knowing there are no markets) but not novels.
Girl's gotta know her limitations. Last year I had the outline much closer to done. And while I did finally finish it, it wasn't just that that taking off the pressure cooker slowed me down. The outline was feeble in the end, because I rushed it.
Grumbling along through the revisions at the point, which does help underscore the issue.

Date: 2011-10-10 05:11 am (UTC)First, because I never NaNoWriMo. Putting my
lack ofprogress on display like that makes me horribly anxious.Second, because I have a good deal more than 50,000 words to go on my current WIP, which I want to get drafted and ready for cutting before November. At least I’m working off an exceptionally detailed outline and only need to add water.
