We had this at Mass this morning, combined with "Child of the Poor"--do you know that one? I am always so moved by it, and the two melodies and words weave together in a beautiful way, I think.

(I'm having déjà vu… did you post this last year and I say the same thing?)


This verse spoke to me particularly, this year:

Bring all the thirsty, all who seek peace;
Bring those with nothing to offer,
Strengthen the feeble, say to the frightened heart:
"Fear not, here is our God!"

… and I thought of you when I was hearing it, because I was so moved, and I was thinking about how you post hymns, and I was thinking, how I'd like to share this, but how a good 70 percent of the people who read my blog would probably be, I don't know, nonplussed or something. And I gave up the idea of sharing. But then you posted this, and so you gave me the opportunity. Thank you ♥
