The Monster in the Maze
Mar. 23rd, 2014 02:56 pmSo the heroine and companions are set in a -- sorta maze. Sorta because it's all a regular thing of corridors and courtyards, all neatly arranged in rectangles -- all the same as each other, without a single sign or a person to talk to -- and vanishing off into the distance.
Now the Minotaur is a Greek creature. Smacking rather more of its origin story than most monstrosities.
On the other hand, would just slapping a manticore in place work the same?
Hmm. . . . I think it's going to be some kind of beastman.
And even though they found a door out, and fled, it's going to have to come up again, and they will have to face the beastman.
Fortunately, this is a setting with non-Euclidean geometry. Nothing could be easier than having to go through it again.
