eyebrows and research
Dec. 21st, 2014 05:56 pmEyebrows, that's the ticket. I shall have a character make dire predictions about the heroine because her eyebrows don't meet in the middle.
To be laughed off by other characters, because they don't take it seriously, and I also have to throw in enough context that the reader will know that having your eyebrows meet is a traditional way of detecting a werewolf, but it's a handy way of foreshadowing her future.
Whcih is an odd and esoteric fact I would never have discovered if I were looking for something to research. Which is Yet Another Reason for the writer to read widely in nonfiction.
