marycatelliWhether it's superpowers, or magic, or tech, the kinds are as important as the powers. Truth detection? Teleportation? Super speed? Telepathy? Mind control?
Truth detection could have some nice effects on trials, once they overcame the procedural obstacles. Mind control, on the other hand, or even telepathy could lead to a lot of ugly consequences -- which, exactly, depends on whose hands the powers lie, but ugly.
Teleportation in some respects is worse than superspeed. You want to keep speedsters out? Area denial techniques. Mines or even caltrops, if spread thickly enough, could make life truly interesting. But teleportation allows you access anywhere.
