He read on. "He seemed quite jealous of his work. Kept everyone out. But no one seemed to think much of it."
"It's not impossible," said John, heavily, "that he didn't stick out. Many researchers were bitterly jealous and afraid their work would be stolen. It made supplying them interesting."
