That is, when the story starts out.
It's going to be quite a bit interrupted by life. At least shoved to the back burner.
However, it probably has to tie into the opening setting where she lives in a location with a lot of people living very close together. I was trying to speculate whether she can have even a small garden or whether she must content herself with a window box.
It does not cohere very well in imagination yet, and it's the first scenes. . . . sigh.
At least the economics of an artist living in a crowded location are clear.
