My effort:
The brownies looked up. Then, with shrugs, they slung their dusting cloths over their shoulders and traipsed out. There were only three of them, at that.
Beside the books stood. Masses and masses.
"With no card catalog," Halley said.
"Aye, that's the rub," said Corridon. "You have work before you."
