This week's prompt is:
perfect

Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.

My efforts:

As they gathered in the nearest approximation of a clearing they could find, so thick with leaves and fern that no one of them could see more than a third of the grimy and wounded men.
Of the survivors, Mark noted. And they had aimed for perfection with this team.

"We can think," said Queen Aurore, "of no one more perfect than you to commend her care to."
In the vasty hall of gold and green marble, the captain bowed deeply.
"And you have chosen a lieutenant to take the second post?" said King Orlando.
He gestured. I bowed deeply.

At least, the library had tables about, and light enough. If it was not perfect, at least things could get done. Halley bit her lip.
"Do any of the brownies know enough about the books to help in the sorting?" she said, mildly.
"Huh," said the brownie, not exactly unexpectedly.

"If you looked for the perfect subjects," said Daisy, "you would be looking for perfect people. People don't come in perfect."
"Some are less imperfect than others," Hope said. "I thought of looking for a lifeguard. There are powers that help against drowning."
Daisy's nose wrinkled.
"They don't suit you."
