The Water Dragon's Bride, Vol. 1 by Rei Tōma
The first volume in a manga series. A little girl is mysteriously drawn into a pool and finds her in a far-distant time.
While people understand her, they do not know many words she uses. She meets a brother and sister who take her back to the village, where she's generally convinced she's dreaming. She jeers at the notion of a water dragon god, but is willing to go to his ritual; she thinks her parents will be at all.
It involves skeletons, other gods' commentary on the water dragon and a bet, a past attempt to hide a cat, the prosperity of the village, a fish made of water, and more.
Much is made manifest. (Though not how she ended up there!)
