vignette challenge

This week's prompt is:
cover
Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.
My efforts:
Her mouth twitched. It was not as if she could take cover and cower there. At least, not out here. Perhaps in the labyrinth before them, she might find a hiding place, if it came to that.
"Wizard of Order," said one, his voice laden with contempt. "You don't know the rules."
"Don't tell me," she said. "You might discover you would lose to me."
Dust that covered all still showed the extent of what pinned those people down.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone moving with great determination. She hoped that it was one of Zachary's squad; he moved into sight, and did not wear the uniform.
He still put his shoulder to a fallen wall, and shifted it away, entire.
