too many wolves?

marycatelliThe first monster in the book was a wolf.
Then I made mention of more wolves, though I did slither in an ice drake as well.
And then I was going to have our young hero imperiled by wolves on the journey south.
Is it too many wolves? The monsters of the marches are not supposed to be all wolves in this tale.
Perhaps I should throw in some tracks of woodwoses earlier. Or other monsters. At least they do talk about them, but just having wolves on stage may lead to the impression that wolves are this region's specialty.
