time to move the kingdom

marycatelliI had been thinking of King Drakos's kingdom as to the west of King Maximus's. Indeed, thinking of King Maximus's as being pretty much the border. . . .
But if I want a character to meet up again with two others, who are in that area, what could be easier than having him have to cross that kingdom?
It helps that he wants a safe route, and King Maximus is not noted for how the regions closest to him are the safest in his kingdom. Also that he has magical aid to look for them.
Hmm. Does he need them? No, but he's probably afraid he might. It is, after all, one of the characters he meet who can reliably see through spells. His capacity is -- erratic.
