His ability has held up well! Usually it’s sad to see a cartoonist still riding his one-trick pony decades later - David Boswell’s "Reid Fleming," Bill Griffith's "Zippy the Pinhead," &c. Charles Schultz was still drawing Parkinsonian "Peanuts" to his dying day, quite literally.
On the other hand, it’s weird to realize that "Dilbert" began in the 1980s; it’s still chugging along, occasionally still funny.
