convergence of the muses
Aug. 11th, 2023 10:43 pmWas pondering the question of vigilantism in my high fantasy superhero work. Decided to allude to it.
Some in other regions -- in the mountains, it's more common, unsurprisingly, since there are regions that aren't really ruled -- but chiefly in a legend/history about a forest. Come to think of it, I can slither in some discussion of whether wizards can make bodily modifications to knights, and whether knights can be wildlings, beings transformed by magical sites. (Animals can be both, but humans are still open.)
AND, it occurs to me that a good time for such a talk is when three characters go there, which means I can shove them, and their inconvenient knowledge, off-stage and leave the dramatic irony to work out. I had planned them to not be there, but not how. How handy.
