Cold As Ice by Sarah Mlynowski
Whatever After continues. With The Snow Queen, which happens to be one of my less favorite ones. But the series arc hits some important points here.
Abby is angry with her friend who is making another friend, and remembers her promise to their parents. But when a voice calls to her, and she ignores it, it calls to Prince. The puppy listens. Abby and Jonah go after Prince and find themselves in snow.
The Snow Queen finds them, and freezes Prince. They see a boy acting dazed, and escape, only to be caught by robbers. (It's lucky for Jonah that Abby read the original.)
It involves disguises, a reindeer not named Rudolph, flowers, a girl with nowhere to go, and more.
