I need a fairy tale
Nov. 5th, 2015 08:38 pmSo the heroine and her husband are with her parents while they do the half the country thing.
And the heroine thinks about the history, because obviously her father divides on the line where last it was two kingdoms, when a prince and princess married -- four -- generations ago.
Because that was the first generation I hadn't assigned a fairy tale, or decided that they did without (and liked it -- tales are uncomfortable things).
So what it needs is a tale that has a prince and princess marry. Fine, even if you exclude "Sleeping Beauty" for taking too long and being one of the Pop Top 20, and any tale where the kingdoms can't be next to each other (because of distances traveled), there are a lot of them. "Iron Hans". "All Kinds of Fur". Some variants on "The Girl Without Hands".
Hmmmmm. . . .
"Maid Maleen" Mind you, her father's kingdom was trampled in war, but her husband could go reclaim it.
